To any of you who are movie aficionados here like me and you are interested in participating with our very own Film Fridays here @ P&P Board...post here and let us know. We need your participation, of course...the more the merrier. Feel free to join us, if you love to watch movies and you want to participate here. This will be something fun for us all forum members to do here. So, come on, join me. Perhaps we can start this very soon. I'm thinking this Friday, if it's possible and we get at least 3-5 participants to join us and we're good to go. Here's how this works... In the beginning of every week (Mon, Tues., or Wednesday), we should list here and pick, suggest, or recommend a movie (whether old or new, in our dvd collection, rented/netflix, instant viewing online, or whatever we pick that's currently showing in theaters, etc.) for all of us to watch on Fridays. Each participants must list here in this thread a few or more movie titles per week to suggest/recommend, so we can pick at least 2 films per week. Why 2 films, you might ask? Well, one movie for the first Friday and the second one for the next Friday viewing. On Fridays, we watch the movie that was pick for that week. On the following Friday, participants will post here in this thread about the movie seen the previous Friday (I'll either post my thoughts/review of the movie we've seen here or blog it in my Movies Blog here...or both). We will discuss the movie we've seen here in this thread or in my In the Mood for Movies Blog or both...whichever we decide to discuss the movie. Then, the next movie for that week will be presented in the same day. Get it? What do you think? Interested If so, please reply and post here asap! Thanks. My collection is extremely small, numbering in only about a dozen. My bro's have some movies, but they're not romance (3:10 to Yuma, No Country for Old Men, I am legend-all movies I still haven't seen). So I guess what I'm saying, is that I may be able to participate every once in a while, depending on the movie. But I don't want that to affect what everyone else chooses. It'll be us watching on our own time at home any time of the day, depending on when you wanna watch it yourself on that Friday or on the weekends if you couldn't watch it that day. Besides, we won't be posting/discussing about the movie anyways till the next Friday after...so, you actually have a week and plenty of time to watch the movie we pick on Fridays. Then, we can post about it here the following Friday and we'll have the next movie picked to watch the following week, if you get what I mean. Btw, you can always rent a movie that isn't from your DVD collection or we can also include Twilight movie here (as it's definitely one of the movies we both are looking forward to seeing in theaters next month ) or any movies that will be in theatrical release soon. As soon as everyone has their list posted, we can narrow them down to two and take our pick that everyone wants to see the most for that week to watch. Here are my Movie Picks... (or recommendation/suggestion in no particular order) 1. The Duchess * (starring Keira Knightley) - In theaters now! 2. Twilight * (starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson) - In theaters November 21 (reserved for that date ) 3. Nights In Rodanthe * (starring Diane Lane, Richard Gere) - In theaters now! 4. North & South (starring Richard Armitage, Daniela Denby-Ashe) 5. Red Eye (starring Rachel McAdams) *3 of them are new that I haven't seen yet and are currently showing in theaters. I own these ones: North & South Red Eye Pride & Prejudice (2005) Night at the Museum Kate and Leopold any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies But again don't feel that you need to make your decisions based on me. Here are a few more (for now) ... - Step Up - Becoming Jane - Bend It Like Beckham Looks like we all have P&P and N&S in our list...perhaps, we can choose 1 of those 2 movies first to watch on our first Film Fridays.
