She along with Donald Sutherland and Brenda Blethyn are the vets in P&P movie. Most of them, I don't know the title, lol... but I always see her in movies in cable and I'd be thinking...yep, that's her. She's ubiquitous in both big and small screen. She's an amazing actress indeed. Oh, I did remember seeing this movie called The Important of Being Ernest. It was funny movie where played the mother of Frances O'Connor (the actress who starred in Mansfield Park, another Jane Austen novel's film adaptation )'s character along with Reese Witherspoon, Rupert Everett, and Colin Ferth (aka Mr. Darcy in '95's P&P mini-series ). The British Independent Film Awards was held last night (Nov. 28th) and she won for ... Best Performance by an Actress in a British Independent Film for Notes on a Scandal. Anne Hathaway was also nominated here for Becoming Jane and lost to her. But of course, JD's a veteran and brilliant actress and, of course, so I wasn't surprise that she won here. The pair previously appeared together in Bond film Die Another Day and of course, Pride & Prejudice. In Yukio Mishima’s play Madame De Sade, Rosamund Pike plays title character Renée, wife of the notorious Marquis De Sade, whose story is told from the viewpoint of six women.
