This would be a designated time and day for everyone, who is interested, to come and chat together. It would give everyone an opportunity to debate and share ideas head to head. I think it would be best to have a chosen topic before each night (to at least get everyone started), but this is, of course, debatable. This idea will only work if multiple people are wanting to participate. It definitely wouldn't be fun chatting with yourself. Although, you would win all the debates...hopefully anyway. If your interested please post a reply. Keep in mind, this is going to take a while to set up because of the different time zones, but I'll try to speed it up as fast as possible. Later, if the plan is accepted, we can take a vote on the time and day. Thanks for listening, and hope you join in. I think it could be FUN!!! So maybe we can start with a monthly chat instead. I've looked up all of your locations from your profiles and here is the best I can come up with (of course this is up for discussion). Stephie, PST (Washington) 6:00 AM Elizabeth Darcy, EST (Florida) 9:00 AM Aliwal, South Africa 4:00 PM mahsuri1284, Malaysia, 10:00 PM It's kind of hard since there is such a big difference between US Pacific time and Malaysia's time. If everyone agrees, I think it would be best to have the chats on Saturdays, so work and school shouldn't interfere. Oh, and please check to make sure my times are correct. I had trouble with both Florida and Africa because I'm not sure exactly where you live, which could possibly make a difference. Though by Jan 2 (when Winter quarter starts), I won't be able to log on until around 12:30 PM at the earliest. Unless one of the above is acceptable to all, then our problems would be solved. Weekends are not a very good time for me as I'm usually away and my schedule is always mixed up . Any time during the week is fine I suppose, if something's not standing in my way. Although night times are the best times for me, I would prefer that. I usually stay up late at nights like up till 2:00 AM with nothing bothering me, so that would suit me the most if it's alright with you guys . "11:00 PM" would just be fine! . Also guys i will sadly be going away tomorrow for a school convention, and will be returning only Wednesday, so I will see you when I see you! Btw, that's why I manage to sneak online now ...kids are asleep and hubby's watching some video ) I'm waiting for broadband to be connected to my home - hopefully by early next year (yep, all this while I've been relying on computers / internet connections at work! ). Glad you want to join, the more the merrier as they say. We are currently in the process of figuring out times, which is difficult because of the different time zones. To work in Mahsuri1284 preference, so she's not too early, I've added 2 hours making the schedule look like this: Stephie, 3:00 PM Liz Darcy, 6:00 PM Aliwal, 1:00 AM Vicvictor, 1:00 AM or 1:00 military time Mahsuri1284, 7:00 AM I'm betting Vicvictor may have some problems with this, if so please reply and say so. I'm trying my best to meet everyone's preferences, so just speak up. Mahsuri1284 what time is too early in the morning for you? It would be easiest if you give me a range of time (such as 7am-9am). Right now were aiming for either Thursdays or Fridays, I think the chats could take anywhere from 30 to 60 mins, depending upon what we are discussing. I don't know what your schedule is like, but I figured we could try to fit you in before you have to go to work/school etc. if that works for you.
